Nicole Reed, MA, LPC

Nicole Reed is licensed by The Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. She attained her bachelor’s degree form The University of Texas in Child Development and Marriage and Family Relationships. She received her Masters at Texas State University. Nicole has been working with children, adolescents, adult individuals, and couples since 2003. She gained her experience in several therapeutic settings; schools, non-profit agencies, juvenile probation facilities and private practice.

At McNeil High School and Williamson County Juvenile Probation Facility, Nicole was able to work with adolescents with a wide range of presenting issues such as: drug/alcohol abuse, physical/mental abuse, loss, family issues, behavioral problems and anxiety. In addition, she co-facilitated several groups of adolescents dealing with similar focused issues.

Capital Area Mental Health Center was another location Ms. Reed was able to gain experience working with children, adolescents, adults and couples. Here she saw clients with anxiety, relationship issues, depression, lack of motivation, alcohol/substance abuse, and grief.

Ms. Reed has a unique ability to use appropriate evaluation techniques to identify behavior, attitudes and values that affect the counseling relationship. She is skilled at assessing and formulating treatment plans to fit the individual client’s needs and is adept at providing clients with necessary resources and referrals.

Nicole is a member of The Texas Counseling Association.
